As companies focus on their core competencies and outsource many of the production steps once handled internally, the need for IP protection becomes a real concern. What is the ECIA?
The National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) and the Electronic Components Association (ECA) have consolidated forces to form the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA), bringing together all of the elements of the electronic components supply chain - component manufacturers, their distributors and their independent manufacturer representatives. Look for the "Authorized Source" logo to ensure you purchase from a legitimately authorized company. ECIA authorized sources are your safest source for any electronic component.

Where will my product be built?
We have 3 assembly facilities domestically and 1 offshore. Most builds are made in the U.S. with the exception being higher volume production runs built offshore.
How long will it take to get finished product?
Each build is unique and mainly dependent on its BOM requirements. Once the parts are here and in production, it usually takes 7-10 days to complete the build.
Is there a minimum order or quantity?
No, we’re here to help you succeed and grow. Some of our longest standing clients (19+ years) started with us when they were brand new start-ups. We take great pride in helping you grow your business.
Do you offer Testing?
Absolutely! Actually we prefer it, as it’s the best way to insure 100% functioning boards on every delivery.
Is there an extra charge for Testing?
Normally it’s included in our build piece price. To be sure, however, we would need to understand how involved your test procedure is.
Can you offer "in-Circuit" Testing?
Yes we can, but in many cases it is outsourced.
Do you provide the bare PC Board?
Yes we can, or if you prefer we can get it from you or your current board house.
Can I schedule deliveries?
Absolutely, many customers prefer this.

Kitting Questions:
What is Kitting?
You send us all or part of a BOM and we do the rest. Simply tell us when you want it delivered and your done. Many OEM's prefer us to handle everything on specific BOM's, while others have us manage specific commodities like capacitors and resistors, IC's diodes and transistors and so on. It's really up to you. Think of us a your personal assistant, but better, because you have an entire company to help, not just one person!
How long does it take to get a quote?
It can vary depending on the number of items on your BOM, but typically we respond in 2 business days.
Do we have to take standard package quantities?
Because we are also a Franchised Distributor and carry a vast inventory and are more flexible than other Kitting companies or CM's. We have the ability to Mini Reel in most cases and always try to work with you.
What about items currently in your stock?
Obviously you need to use the inventory you already have first. We can accomplish this in various ways, generally most customers either consign it to us, or simply provide these parts to production until you reach MOQ.
How do you handle items with long lead-times?
Parts identified as having lead-times concerns are always monitored carefully by us. If it's a standard item we would normally stock ourselves (remember we are a stocking distributor also) then we would always maintain a safety stock for you. Non Standard items specific to your BOM are usually managed by using blankets or scheduled orders to build a buffer for you.
What about my current vendors or registered parts we receive special pricing?
As a CM, Distributor and Kitting Company, we may already have relationships with many of the vendors you currently use. You can request us to use any vendors you have special relationships or arrangements with. Any registrations or special pricing you may be receiving needs to be identified up front and with your approval, we will use those suppliers.
How do you handle obsolescence?
Because we are more than a Kitting organization, this is an area we really excel. First we monitor your BOM and let you know ahead of time when a part goes end of life. At that point we offer to schedule a lifetime buy on the product, or can suggest "fit, form, function" equivalents to you. Additionally, through our 21-years of experience, vast market knowledge and global reach, we can supply product not readily available. All from certified and trusted sources. We never come to you with a problem without having a solution. What good does outsourcing do for you, if every time there is a problem, you still have to solve it?
